Acrolein (CH2)

1. Acrolein is of the solution:
Carbon
Hydrogen

2. Acrolein is a clear or yellow liquid with a pungent odor. It dissolves easily in water and may be found in soil, water, and or air.

3. Acrolein is used as a pesticide to control algae, weeds, and bacteria.

4. Breathing low amounts of Acrolein may cause eyes to water, and or burning of the throat/nose. Large amounts of breathing may cause lung damage and or cause death.

5. Straight activated carbon has a limited capacity for Acrolein. The use of an appropriate specially impregnated carbon is recommended.
