4. Butadiene is used primarily as a chemical intermediate and polymer component in the production of synthetic rubber such as tires and hoses.

5. Mild exposures to Butadiene may result in cough, fatigue, headache, while chronic exposure may cause disease of the liver, luekopenia, and central nervous system damage.
