1. Also known as Perchloroethylene, Tetrachloroethylene is of the solution:
Carbon
Chlorine

2. Tetrachloroethylene is a colorless liquid solvent with a sweet chloroform odor. It is non-flammable/combustible, however, when burned it produces a poisonous gas.

3. This chemical is used in dry cleaning, as a degreaser for metals, in rubber coatings, printing inks, adhesives, and solvent soaps.

4. Inhaling low concentrations of Tetrachloroethylene may cause irritation to the lungs, coughing, shortness of breath, and dizziness. Breathing higher concentrations may lead to a build up of fluid in the lungs and death.
